24-Hr. Investigative Interview & Interrogation - Montrose Police Department, Colorado - February 16-18, 2027
The 24-hour “Strategic Interview and Interrogation” course is designed to introduce law enforcement personnel to a method of interviewing skills, engaging directly in advancing evidence-based articulation.
This training will also give a greater understanding to the potential risks of relying solely on human factors by evaluating case studies, therefore reducing the risk of false confessions. Core components include the cognitive interview, rapport-building strategies, structured questioning models.
By integrating these strategies, law enforcement professionals will be better prepared to conduct interviews that withstand legal scrutiny, support successful prosecutions, and foster public trust.
